While writing my column in the Deseret News, I often wondered if my articles made any difference in the lives of those who read them. I wrote one on getting rid of some crabgrass in our lawn and made a comparison to getting rid of crabgrass in marriages. Here is what I wrote:

I later received a letter from one wife who read it and reported it had great impact on her marriage. Her letter was reported in a later column.
Why Do Writers Write
It gave me a great deal of satisfaction to realize that, as a writer, I can write something meaningful to others. Can you see why?
